The Greatest New Year’s Resolution for 2024

Living a drunken life, not that kind of drunk, but drunk with life and love.

I fell madly in love with my husband 22 years ago.

He was very nerdy, wore big glasses, and carried around a calculator. He was a Physics and Math major. (This was long before people owned cell phones with calculators on them.)

I was his first kiss and girlfriend. He was 21 at the time. So obviously, he was pretty naïve and innocent.

He was perfect.

He was and is the best decision I’ve ever made.

The Greatest New Year’s Resolution for Yourself

When you look back on 2023, do you dwell on what you didn’t achieve?

And how does that make you feel? Awful?

How about you fall madly in love with yourself instead?

How about you see all the ways you’re perfect right now!

How about you recognize and celebrate all the ways you showed up for yourself and for those around you. I can’t tell you how many dishes I’ve washed, meals I’ve cooked, and children I’ve chauffeured. I’m AWESOME! You’re AWESOME!

Conclusion

I fell head over heals for my husband.

He was a broke student with no money to his name. Yet, he was perfect for me. And he’s still perfect!

For 2024, I hope you fall madly in love with yourself.

I hope you know that you’re already perfect.

And when you set new goals for 2024, I hope it’s coming from a place of an expansion of who you already are, not what you’re not.
